Great Southern Development Program (GSDP)

The GSDP is a platform for aspiring Football players and coaches. Our objective is to provide development opportunities and a positive environment to all involved within the program. We aim to assist players and coaches who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of the game. Our core values dictate how we deliver content and we strive to set high standards of ourselves to encourage players and coaches to develop. We continually reflect on our practices and intend on providing an environment for players to be free to make decisions for themselves and to take responsibility for their development progress.

Training sessions are conducted on Thursday night at North Road Soccer Grounds and cater for junior players born between 2003 - 2012. Each session is aimed at providing a professional learning environment with age appropriate skill development but we also place a large emphasis on creating a safe and fun atmosphere. Our program currently operates in a six-week training block format that aligns with the school term. Each training block presently caters for all who would like to be involved and there is no commitment to consecutively continue from training block 1-4. A semester enrolment system has been implemented for the 2018 year, this allows our coaches to progressively follow the National Football Curriculum developed by Football Federation Australia.

Semester 2 Cost - $140 for 12 weeks training.

Semester 2 enrolments are now open and training commences Thursday 2nd  of August on Pitch C4. To enrol in the program please use the link provided at the bottom of the page or alternatively contact John Overton – gsdp2017@hotmail.com or 0433 450 444.
